Sarah Ferguson is a photographer based in Richmond, VA.
Sarah graduated with a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. As a dance student,she discovered a desire to capture movement in a single frame and found photography helped record those movements forever. It became Sarah's passion to photograph dancers at their best and show them how an image magically reflected their physical ability. She was honored to be featured in the DANCE Magazine supplement "Beyond Performance 2008" for her career as a performer with Starr Foster Dance Project, as an arts administrator, and as a dance photographer. Sarah is currently the company photographer for Richmond Ballet and her work of The Nutcracker was shown in the New York Times in 2010. Sarah has also worked with Virginia Commonwealth University Dance, Richmond Symphony,Ground Zero Dance, K Dance, RVA Dance Collective, Z Mullins Dance Company, FDance,  and her work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, DANCE Magazine, Pointe Magazine, Dance Teacher Magazine, RVA Mag, Richmond.com, Richmond Times Dispatch, Style Weekly, and Virginia Living Magazine.
After many years of photographing dancers and performances, she has attempted to create that exciting energy in portraits and wedding photography. The best part is being able to witness and be a part of the most special experiences in people's lives. It's such a pleasure.
